Kirschner's Wildlife Reserve

My name is Kylee Scherba. In 2006 I moved to Chico to study Animal Science at Chico State University. While working on my degree I came to discover the Barry R. Kirshner Wildlife Sanctuary & Educational Center. It didn’t take long to realize the diamond I had stumbled upon and I quickly started volunteering with them. I completed not one, but three internships with them while completing my college degree and have continued volunteering to this day. Last January, I celebrated my 12 year anniversary with this wonderful facility. I am currently one of their animal experts and educational liaison, working with the public in a variety of capacities such as, leading tours, reptile shows, conducting off site programs and community outreach.
