Fine Time and Recognition
Mike Donnelly was recognized for his trip to Africa, visiting sites where Walt Schafer’s projects have impacted so many African families, and scouting for a new project assisting with a school science lab. Warren Locke had donated a Chico Rotary team hat that was given to a Rotary club president and was well received. Mike then gave our President, Glen Eaton, a safari hat from Africa. 5 Bells
Matt York gave a presentation on his latest adventure overseas, in the Sudan, with his non-profit, OMPT. Sudan is in quite a bit of turmoil, which Matt explained -- hopefully it is a process of turnover from military control to civilian control. He explained the project “Every Voice Counts”. 5 Bells

Program
Barry R. Kirschner Wildlife Sanctuary volunteer Kylee Scherba (right in photo) was the presenter today with a very educational presentation about the facility, which houses 100 animals with special needs. We were treated to a visit from two of their critters – a white silver crested cockatiel and a baby bobcat! Visit http://kirshner.org/ for more information.
