Team Report
Evan Markey delivered the team report, and the Love Cats packed the calendar.
They kicked off with an April 30 social at the Keith's alongside the Black Hearts, held a team meeting May 13, then laid bricks at the Veterans' Memorial on May 14.
The socializing continued — Tres Hombres on May 21 and a bar crawl with the Modern Lovers on May 27 — before a work day at the Boys & Girls Club on May 30.
Next up is a lunch meeting at Beatniks on June 10. As Evan put it, come "if you're interested in meeting and hungry or lonely."
Rob capped it off: the Love Cats "have been rocking it all year."

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENTS
Phil Aviles covered the Fourth of July parade down the Esplanade.
Beyond helpers, the club needs 4–6 volunteers who can bring vehicles to form removable barricades and stay with them for the whole parade — reach out to Phil directly.
President Rob recapped the final weekend of team points, and nobody coasted: three teams combined on a Boys & Girls Club project and reportedly knocked it out in an hour, the Modern Lovers tackled split-rail fencing ("one of our core competencies"), and the Black Hearts ran a clothes-and-supplies drive for Chico's Drug Endangered Children.
The golf tournament drew a crowd — Team Five somehow squeezed five players into a foursome and still led with a 29.
Closest to the hole on #3 was Brandon Keith at 6 feet 2 inches; Marc Evans took #6 at 18 feet 1 inch. Charlotte Hall also fielded a team.
President Rob also reminded everyone that Almanor Weekend is September 11–12 — block it off…
…and pleaded for everyone to come to his Demotion Party on June 23, calling out Alberta Simic for not liking his walk on/off music!

Chico Noon Rotary inducted its newest member, Linda Zorn!
Megan Kurtz introduced Linda Zorn, whom many in the room already know through decades of community leadership.
Linda has been at Butte College for 28 years, the last 16 as executive director for community relations and economic and workforce development.

President Rob warned that "the market will fall out on these Robbies" by the end of the meeting — the lucky number was 9758 — with Alberta Simic winning and then recognized for donating Robbies to the Chocolate Fest.
President Rob reportedly felt badly about giving her a hard time.
FEATURED PERFORMANCE
Celeste Cramer, General Manager of the Downtown Chico Business Association, spoke to the club about the work of the DCBA, organizing her remarks around the association's five-part mission.
On marketing and promotion, she described how the DCBA draws shoppers and diners back downtown.
On community events, she pointed to the signature programs that fill the streets — the Thursday Night Market, the annual Christmas Preview, and the Community Tree Lighting in City Plaza.
On placemaking and beautification, she highlighted the Clean & Safe efforts that keep the district welcoming, including the Downtown Ambassador Program and the Jesus Center Clean-Up Brigade.
On business support and collaboration, she emphasized the partnerships among merchants, nonprofits, and the city. And on advocacy for a vibrant downtown environment, she made the case that a healthy, active downtown is the heart of Chico — and that it takes the whole community to keep it thriving.
