Colonel Heather Fox is the Commander, 9th Reconnaissance Wing, Beale Air Force Base, CA. She is responsible for approximately 7,000 military, civilian and contractor personnel, and the entire Air Force high-altitude reconnaissance fleet of U-2 Dragon Lady aircraft. The 9th Reconnaissance Wing is comprised of four groups and four overseas operating locations, executing worldwide missions in support of all six geographic combatant commanders. Colonel Fox is a graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy, and started her career as a T-38 instructor pilot before transitioning to the U-2 program as a mission pilot. Col Fox’s staff duties have included exchange officer service in the UK Royal Air Force Strategy Division, the Joint Staff J3 Reconnaissance Division, and as a strategist and speech writer for the 19th Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. She has earned three Master's Degrees from the American Public University, King’s College London, and the National Defense University. Her combat experience includes missions over Iraq and Afghanistan during Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM, and she has commanded EQ-4, RQ-4, and U-2 combat missions for Operations INHERENT RESOLVE, FREEDOM’S SENTINAL, as well as Sensitive Reconnaissance Operations in the Arabian Gulf. Colonel Fox is a command pilot with over 2,400 hours in the U-2, E/RQ-4, and T-38A. She has flown 69 combat missions in the U-2 and has over 650 hours of combat time. Prior to her current position, she was a student at the National Defense University’s Eisenhower School for National Security and Resource Strategy. |

Kelvin Myers - Forensic Genealogist A fifth generation Texan and professional forensic genealogist since 1996, Kelvin is a frequent speaker to genealogical societies and family associations throughout the United States. He specializes in southern brick wall problems for clients. Kelvin is a 1989 and 1990 alumnus of the Institute of Genealogical and Historical Research at Samford University and has returned to IGHR as lecturer in the Southern Course and the Professional Courses. He is a past board member of the Association of Professional Genealogist, a past President of the Lone Star Chapter of APG, and a former member for the Council for the Advancement of Forensic Genealogy (CAFG). He currently serves as the chairman of the history and archives committee of First United Methodist Church in Dallas. The Dallas Genealogical Society awarded Kelvin the Lloyd DeWitt Bockstruck Distinguished Service Award in December of 2018. In 2016 Kelvin published Research in Texas for NGS (National Genealogical Society) Research in the States series. Kelvin is also the director of the Texas Institute of Genealogical Research (TIGR) sponsored by the Texas State Genealogical Society. Forensic genealogy is the emerging practice of utilizing genetic information from direct-to-consumer companies for identifying suspects or victims in criminal cases. As of July, 2019, the use of this practice has led to the discovery of over 40 suspects of murder and sexual assault. |

Tara Campbell Tara graduated from PVHS in the Class of 2000. She then went to Dominican University of California, graduating with an MBA in Global Strategic Management in 2004. She went into accounting, traveling the US and Asia as an auditor, then settling back in Chico, gradually working up to CFO, before taking a left turn and starting law school, where she has completed her 1st year. But throughout her varied career one thing had stayed the same: since 2001, she has produced subtitles for Anime. Tara helped to begin the first international subtitling company focused on digital distribution. Now the leader in Zero Day releases, Tara will be speaking about the unique world of subtitling, how Zero Day production revolutionized the industry, and what other industries can learn from this model. |

Mike Guzzi Mike Guzzi serves as the Associate Vice President for Facilities Operations and Capital Projects at Chico State. His scope includes custodial, grounds, utilities, and maintenance as well as management of construction and sustainability for the entire campus. Additionally, he is directly responsible for all master planning efforts and compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act. He also serves as an adjunct faculty in the Civil Engineering Department teaching leadership, ethics, and construction engineering. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Chico State, a Master of Arts in American history from the American Military University, and a Master of Science in civil engineering from UCLA. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in the state of California and a Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professional. Prior to his arrival at Chico State, he served 20 years in the US Navy Civil Engineer Corps managing wartime and humanitarian construction and engineering for the military both at home and abroad to include multiple deployments to places such as Southeast Asia, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East. Mike currently also serves the campus as the Chico State’s Emergency Operations Center Director leading a multi-disciplinary team from across campus in crisis management with most efforts of late involving COVID preparations and response to include academic scheduling, housing, cleaning, disinfecting, case management, and other safety and health protocols. Guzzi fun facts: When I was in my 20s I was sent to Iraq to build an Iraqi Special Forces base from scratch. We were given a bombed-out plot of land and had to design and build the entire base. While there I also spent a lot of time in several of Saddam Hussein’s palaces. Another fun fact: While building a boat ramp in Tanzania our team dropped an excavator into the ocean…..Hoorah…. |

Megan Gaddis, originally from Placer County, has lived in the Chico area for the past 13 years. She currently resides in Vina, CA with her 5-year old son Logan. Tom Bahr, Chico's Airport Manager Tom grew up in grew up in Payson, UT. After graduating from high school he served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Southern France, and then attended Southern Utah University where he received a Bachelors of Science in Biology, after which he taught high school science for a number of years. Tom married his "amazing wife" Michelle in 2005, and they now have two girls. After teaching high school for a few year, Tom made the decision to achieve his dream of becoming a pilot, and left that career to pursue a career in aviation. He has been a pilot since 2009, and returned to school in 2011 to receive a Masters degree in Aviation Management from the University of Nebraska – Omaha. He worked at a Flight Base of Operations (FBO) initially as an intern in 2012, which quickly became a management position until in 2015 Utah Valley University asked him to teach as a full time Adjunct Professor of Aviation. He left Utah when he was offered a position as Airport Manager at the Show Low Regional Airport in Show Low Arizona, and was there from 2017 until he accepted the position as Airport Manager for the Chico Municipal Airport in April this year. |

Amy Rohrer and Chelsea Irvine will speak on the Valley Contractor's Exchange Construction Workforce Initiative Amy Rohrer, Co-Owner of Rohrer Construction and Executive Director of Valley Contractors Exchange, is a second-generation builder living in Butte Creek Canyon. Amy is passionate about empowering girls and women in construction! She engages youth by teaching construction camps with the Boys and Girls Club, and summer camps where she is sure to offer an equal number of Girls Build! camps. After their family’s home and construction shop was lost in the 2018 Camp Fire, She and her husband got HAZWOPER certified and spent 6 months removing the ash and debris from their property, as well as their neighbor’s property, before they got down to the business of rebuilding. In winter of 2021, she is launching a mobile training unit that will travel to burned-out communities and teach fire survivors basic construction safety and skills though hands-on-tools community rebuilding projects. |

District Governor Kathy Suvia As a serial planner, Kathy draws from her career in all she does, especially Rotary. She has been a leader in the formation of collaborative leadership and community development efforts across Northern California. Since retiring Kathy has continued to serve as a consultant to a variety of non-profit boards and organizations. A lifelong learner, she earned an MBA in Nonprofit Management and Leadership while in her mid-50’s. Kathy served as President of the Rotary Club of Mt. Shasta, Camp Venture Counselor, Assistant Governor, District Trainer and Chief of Staff prior to being selected as 5160’s District Governor for 2021-22. Kathy holds dual citizenship in the US and UK. She and Bill, a retired highway construction inspector, have been married 44 years and have two grown sons. Bill is a member of the Rotary Club of Anderson. They enjoy cooking, skiing, hiking, and traveling together and with their grandchildren. |

Marc Mattox, Paradise Town Engineer/Public Works Director Born in Redding, Marc Mattox moved to Chico in 2003 to obtain his Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering at CSU, Chico. Following graduation in 2007, he started his career in the public sector with the City of Yuba City. After obtaining his Professional Engineering license in 2012, his career became more local after accepting an Associate Civil Engineer position with the Town of Paradise. In 2015, Marc was promoted to Public Works Director/Town Engineer for the Town of Paradise. Marc and his wife, Michelle, have two children, Mae (11) and Sara (8). His family moved to Paradise in 2016 and following the Camp Fire, they have permanently located back in Chico. Like many staff with the Town of Paradise, Marc enjoys the opportunities to create generational change in rebuilding a stronger and more resilient Paradise. |

Doug LaMalfa is a fourth generation rice farmer and business owner who has lived in Northern California all his life. Doug attended local schools and grew up learning the value of hard work and community service. Doug earned his degree in Ag/Business from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. He now manages the family farming business originally founded by his great-grandfather in 1931. Doug is a strong voice for the North State’s agriculture and resources based economy and for the first district’s farms and businesses. A conservative leader, Doug LaMalfa has opposed increasing taxes and is a stalwart defender of California’s Proposition 13. With a proven record of fighting on behalf of working families, Doug believes that taxpayers know better than bureaucrats and politicians how to spend and invest their own hard-earned money. Doug is a strong supporter of private property rights and the author of a Constitutional Amendment to protect Californians against eminent domain abuse. Water is the North State’s most precious natural resource and Doug LaMalfa believes in protecting our water rights and developing more water storage. He has continually advocated for increasing California’s water supply, supporting planned projects such as Sites Reservoir and the Auburn Dam. Doug has been a leader in opposing burdensome environmental regulations that place fairy shrimp and fish ahead of human needs. Agriculture and Forestry have been the backbone of northern California’s economy for generations and Doug LaMalfa has made it a priority to educate his fellow Representatives on the importance of resource industries and the beneficial stewardship they provide. Sheriff Kory Honea Kory L. Honea became the 31st Sheriff of Butte County in May 2014. Prior to becoming the Sheriff, Honea served as the Undersheriff for nearly four years. Sheriff Honea began his career with the Butte County Sheriff's Office in 1993, when he was hired as a deputy sheriff. Prior to that Sheriff Honea was employed by the Shasta County Sheriff's Office. During his law enforcement career Sheriff Honea has held assignments in corrections, patrol and investigations. In 2000, Sheriff Honea transferred to the District Attorney's Office as an investigator. While at the District Attorney's Office, Sheriff Honea promoted through the ranks to become the Chief Investigator in 2008. Sheriff Honea held that position until his return to the Sheriff's Office as Undersheriff in 2010. Sheriff Honea holds a Juris Doctorate from the Taft School of Law and is a member of the State Bar of California. He also holds an Associate of Arts degree from Butte College. Sheriff Honea has extensive law enforcement training certified by the California Commission on Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST). |

Dr Charlie Bamforth has been part of the brewing industry since 1978. Formerly with the Brewing Research Foundation and Bass in the UK, he was lead professor of brewing at UC Davis for 20 years from 1999. He is Distinguished Professor Emeritus at UC Davis and also Honorary Professor with the University of Nottingham in England, as well as Senior Quality Advisor to Sierra Nevada Brewing Company. He is the author of numerous articles, papers and books on beer (and soccer), has featured extensively in the media and has received many awards for his contributions to the industry. |

Malia, M. Cohen, a native San Franciscan and a product of the San Francisco Unified public school system, is a rising star and nationally recognized policy maker. She serves as a Member of the California State Board of Equalization (BOE), California’s elected tax commission. Elected to the Board of Equalization in November 2018, she was the first African American woman to serve on the Board and as Chair of the Board in its 142-year history. As the BOE Board Member for District 2, she represents 10 million constituents from as far north as Del Norte County to as for south of Santa Barbara County. Her district is home to the ancient redwoods, the wine industry in Napa County, the innovation capitol of the world in the Bay Area and Silicon Valley, and the beautiful and breathtaking Pacific Coast. Prior to being elected to the Board of Equalization, Board Member Cohen served as President of the City and County of San Francisco Board of Supervisors. She was first elected to the Board of Supervisors in 2010 and re-elected in 2014. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Fisk University, a historically Black university in Nashville, Tennessee, and a Masters in Science in Public Policy & Management from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She and her husband, Attorney Warren A. Pulley, reside in San Francisco. They are the proud parents of their daughter, Madison Victoria Pulley. |

Cindy Hopkins is a mother, teacher, photographer and world traveler. Her passion for travel started when she was granted an opportunity to be an Rotary exchange student to Peru in 1986. Cindy took what is now referred to as a GAP year and spent the academic year of 1986 - 1987 living and learning in Peru. She was able to travel and photograph much of the country. She lived with two families and stayed with others to travel to locations like Machu Picchu. Cindy’s experience in Peru fueled her passion for travel. She also loves to document her travels through her photography. She has traveled to 21 countries and islands and has lived internationally 2 additional times. Once in London, England and most recently in Bangkok, Thailand. She has passed her travel passion on to her daughter, Danika. Additionally - she has coordinated trips for students to various countries and all over the US. She loves sharing her travel bug with her students, family and friends. Cindy is honored to speak to this Rotary organization to share her experience and how it had a profound impact on her life and career. Being an exchange student is an awesome experience and Rotary made that happen. Without that opportunity, Cindy knows her life would have been very different. Thank you for this opportunity. |

Ed Anderson will talk about his 20 year membership and his participation in the International Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians, world championship tournaments in Europe and the United States & Canada, and his Golfing Fellowship of Rotarians tournaments in the US and Canada. Ed has attended 11 IGFR tournaments and 10 USCGFR tournaments. He has been a Chico Rotarian for 40 years. He was president in 1999-2000, and club secretary under both Frank Solinsky (88-89), and Bob Jefferies (90-91). He was a co-founder of Rolls, Anderson & Rolls Civil Engineers. He Semi-retired from RAR in 1996. He has been writing the golf column for the Enterprise-Record for 16 years. He currently has shot at, or under his age of 85, 429 times, aiming for 1,000! |

John Shepard from CUSD will explain vocational project oportunities for the teams, and our own Kelley Staley will co-present.. John has spent most of his life on the West Coast, having obtained his BA in English and Masters in Education from California State University, Chico. He and his wife met on a basketball court at CSUC, and they have two daughters, Hannah, who recently graduated from UCLA, and Julia who is a freshman student-athlete in volleyball at UC Santa Barbara. John has been a teacher, coach and administrator in the Chico Unified School system for over 20 years, and is the faculty coordinator for the CSUC Administrative Credential program. He is also a NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA/NCBOA Basketball Official. Kelly Staley is Superintendent of Chico Unified School District. Chico Unified, with an average daily attendance of 12,000 students, consists of 21 schools ranging from pre-kindergarten to high school, twelve of which have been honored with California Distinguished School status. The Chico Unified annual budget exceeds $170M, contributing greatly to the local Butte County economy. Kelly has many ties to Chico, including being born at Enloe Hospital. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree in English and received her teaching credentials from California State University, Chico. Her educational career began as an English teacher at San Clemente High School in the Capistrano Unified School District. After completing her Master’s Degree at Pepperdine University, Kelly began her administrative career within the Lodi Unified School District. She served two years as Assistant Principal and nine years as Principal at Lodi High School during which time she also completed her doctorial coursework at the University of the Pacific. In 2001, Kelly returned to Chico as the Assistant Superintendent for Educational Services for the Chico Unified School District. In 2007, she became Superintendent. Kelly lives in Chico with her husband, Keith Scoles, who works for Tri-Counties Bank. |
